RY 083A

 

RY083A The RY083A MC², part of the MC² tire series, boasts even better rolling resistance than its predecessor, the original RY083A. It is primarily a steer-axle low-profile radial for on-highway long-haul operations which provides very good mileage, traction and excellent fuel economy. FIVE-RIB TREAD PATTERN WITH FOUR GROOVES Designed to provide even wear and long tread life. Excellent wet traction and water channel dispersion can be attributed to these state-of-the-art five-rib radials. Along with the unique tread pattern, the wide shoulder ribs reduce shoulder step wear. WIDE TREAD DESIGN AND S.E.R. The wide tread design with 19/32" tread depth and the Yokohama S.E.R. (Stress Equalizer Ribs) are engineered to reduce irregular treadwear and increase tire mileage. STONE-REJECTION BLOCKS IN CENTER GROOVES Yokohama designers developed stone-rejection blocks in the tread grooves to prolong casing life.

ADVANCED ARRANGEMENT OF SHOULDER LUG GROOVES Yokohama designers developed this pattern to promote flat, even treadwear throughout the long life of the tire. RIB-BLOCK TREAD DESIGN Combined with a 28/32" tread depth, the rib-block tread design provides low rolling resistance, outstanding traction on snow and muddy terrain, and excellent durability. RY112 The RY112 MC², designed with Yokohama’s proprietary MC² compound, is a trailer-axle radial for use on trailer, tag and converter dollies in on-highway line operations. Well-known for their long, flat, even treadwear, these tires are among the best trailer-axle tires in the industry. THE SHALLOW TREAD Yokohama designers developed this particular feature for maintaining a much cooler operating temperature, which enhances overall tire durability. LOW ROLLING RESISTANCE This feature was primarily designed to produce extraordinary fuel economy. FIVE-RIB TREAD PATTERN Rounded shoulders and the five-rib tread pattern promote even wear in trailer-axle positions.

Breakthrough engineering sets a new standard for durability in all-position on/off road tires. Advanced casing design puts the MY507 MC² ahead of its class for durability and retreadability. DEEP ORIGINAL TREAD Allows the MY507 MC² to retain its traction level and original footprint after long-term wear. BLOCK-TYPE RIB TREAD PATTERN Produces traction and uneven wear resistance. SHALLOW "V" GROOVES Contain "stone ejectors" on the center of the tread which actively prohibit rocks from lodging in the tread. OUTER "U" SHAPE GROOVES Facilitate rock ejection from the shoulder area. Both the "U" and "V" grooves reduce stone drilling for improved re-treadability. HIGH ELONGATION TOP-BELT WIRE CORD Improves cutting and chipping resistance, providing more undertread which allows a better base for retreaders. The steel belt also reduces air and water migration, which may cause rust or fraying upon tire damage. BELT EDGE CUSHION (BEC) The BEC is a hard rubber wedge placed in the outer edge of the tire. The BEC feature adds to the squareness of the shoulder and reduces sheering between the second and third belts. This squareness acts as a buttress, diverting abrasive activity away from the sidewall.
